Bali Dessert Week Celebrates Indonesian Flavours Through French Pastry Art

Bali Beach Hotel presents Bali Dessert Week: Pâtisserie Artistry throughout July 2026, featuring six handcrafted desserts that blend French techniques with Indonesian ingredients. Executive Pastry Chef Komang Gede Juniartha and Chef Louis Tanuhadi create dishes inspired by Bali's diverse culinary regions.

Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection is launching an exclusive culinary celebration this July that merges the sophistication of French pastry with the vibrant tastes of Indonesia. Bali Dessert Week: Pâtisserie Artistry runs from 3 to 31 July 2026 at Roso Restaurant, inviting diners to experience a refined menu of six handcrafted sweet and savoury creations developed by Executive Pastry Chef Komang Gede Juniartha and Pastry Chef Louis Tanuhadi.

Executive Pastry Chef Komang Gede Juniartha draws inspiration from his Balinese heritage to craft desserts that honour the island's rich culinary traditions. His creations include the Bebek Betutu Brioche, which reimagines Gianyar's famous slow-cooked duck within buttery brioche paired with cassava leaves. The Jembrana Bedugul showcases the region's prized chocolate combined with Bedugul vanilla, strawberry fluid gel and chocolate craquelin choux. Meanwhile, the Semaga Kintamani celebrates the Kintamani region's citrus excellence through caramelised tangerine curd, yuzu gel and delicate meringue.

Pastry Chef Louis Tanuhadi contributes three contemporary pastries that showcase modern technique alongside Indonesian inspiration. These include a nutrient-rich Moringa Gluten-Free Financier, a vibrant Lemon Raspberry Madeline, and a particularly inventive Quiche Soto Ayam that transforms Indonesia's beloved chicken soup into an elegant savoury pastry creation. All dishes are crafted using premium Australian butter to ensure exceptional quality and flavour balance.

Roso Restaurant provides the perfect setting for this culinary journey, with its contemporary interpretation of Nusantara cuisine creating an atmosphere that celebrates Indonesian gastronomy. The restaurant's elegant design complements the sophisticated presentation of each dessert course, making the experience memorable for both hotel guests and visiting diners.

The Bali Dessert Week degustation menu is priced at IDR 250,000 per person, with each course accompanied by your choice of coffee or tea. This fixed price offers exceptional value for an artfully curated experience that celebrates the intersection of classical French pastry skills and authentic Indonesian flavours.
