Lidah Lokal Sanur: Contemporary Asian Dining Rooted in Bali

Lidah Lokal Sanur has unveiled an expanded menu at ARTOTEL Sanur Bali, embracing a fresh culinary direction guided by its new tagline, Contemporary Asian Dining with Indonesian Soul. The restaurant continues to draw both hotel guests and Denpasar locals who come for dishes that honour Indonesia's diverse flavours through a thoughtful, artistic lens.

The updated menu introduces several standout creations that put Balinese ingredients front and centre. Goreng Be Yuyu features fried crab brought to life with a sweet and sour sauce and crisp fresh vegetables, while Gurita Base Genep showcases slow-cooked octopus enriched with a classic Balinese spice blend and paired with traditional urab.

Signature favourites remain on offer for those craving familiar local tastes. Nasi Goreng Udang Suna Cekuh elevates the humble fried rice with shrimp, aromatic Balinese spices, egg, and a generous helping of sambal embe, delivering a dish that captures the island's bold character.

Beyond Indonesian classics, the kitchen also leans into international influences. Diners can explore Rustic Herb Roast Chicken or the spice-forward Peri Peri Chicken Fire Curry Noodles. For a sweet finish, Bubuh Manisan Lokal reimagines beloved Indonesian desserts with a contemporary touch.

Open daily from 7 AM to 11 PM, Lidah Lokal Sanur caters to a full range of dining moments, from morning breakfast buffets to relaxed à la carte lunches and dinners. The new offerings, available since June, are priced between IDR 40,000 and IDR 165,000, making the experience accessible to a wide audience.

According to Agus Ade Surya Wirawan, General Manager of ARTOTEL Sanur Bali, the addition of Asian dishes alongside a refresh of existing items is designed to create a more memorable experience for in-house guests and visitors alike. The approach reflects how Bali's evolving dining scene allows restaurants to stay true to their heritage while welcoming new influences.
